feather lightness.

After spending much of yesterday's sun trying to fix my poor, overloaded computer, I started thinking of... well, feather boas, of course. Pretty, soft things, a tad luxurious and bit ridiculous--in equal parts.

 {photo: unknown: please let me know if it's yours}

It's safe to say: Sometimes feathers work as my personal Calgon, take me away moment. (Am I dating myself to reference Calgon at my moment of saving?)

What do you think about when you feel the need to get away?

I think about the ocean. All the time. I love the ocean... and ocean breezes... and saltwater... and seashells...

I think about things I love, like beautiful photos, being in bed during winter, chocolate, books, songs that take you to amazing places ^^

I love Faiza's obsession with French fries; it's so funny! I have no idea who or what Calgon is. :) My mind usually goes straight to the beach when I need to be calm or centered . . . that is, either the beach or wine. :)

I love that! I think about the sea whenever I need to escape. And sometimes the mountains...the Canadian Rockies specifically. The majestic snow capped mountains with beautiful turquoise colored lakes just takes my breath away. Instant relaxation :)

I think about mountains and wide open spaces. Big skies and cool breezes... *sigh* what I wouldn't give to be hiking today...

I think about the ocean, the beach on a nice and calm day, sometimes its grey and stormy (which I like) but other times it's blue and green and sunny and calm.

I think about being out in nature, somewhere on the mountain and then I can feel calm and gratitude. Have a great day!

I was so there for Calgon take me away. I feel so less alone now :)

When I need to get away I'm always on Kauai in my mind...so I might as well just move there since I'm there mentally A LOT lately. sigh

Just stumbled upon your blog! Love these images. When I want to get away, I think about porch drinking with friends. And great music.

I like this alot! I have a tattoo of a feather morphing into crows. It is a peaceful reminder to me about certain things.

Oh, I find music always calms me down. Or laying in the dark, or sitting in a shower fully clothed...

thank you for your most lovely words on my blog. you are a light in the darkness. <3 Thank you sweetheart.
