paper cranes + words take flight.

I've fallen in love with Sandy's mission. To fold 1000 paper cranes, with 1000 different positive words, to be released in 1000 different places.

{adore from sandy and the 1000 paper cranes}
Read more about her inspiration here. She's documents the release of each crane, and writes a little about what its accompanying word means to her.

What word would you write on your crane?

Oh I love paper cranes! I used to fold them all the time. :) I went to the person's blog and was inspired by her crane mission. Very cool! If I had a crane, what word would I choose? "Smile"

Oh my goodness that is incredible! 1000 paper cranes? 1000 lovely messages? I cannot even imagine. I would probably write "Life is everything it needs to be".

That is seriously a fab goal!!! Sounds like something I'd love to do:-) I would simply just write "you are amazing, believe it!"

Also, thanks for the sweet anniversary wishes we had a blast!

Wow what a fun and brilliant idea. I've never heard of this before. My friends who got married last year folded 1001 cranes (Japanese tradition) and my hubby and I created a protrait for them out of those cranes. It's was the brides family crest. You can take a look here: http://elisharon.blogspot.com/2009/10/1000-1.html.

Hope you're having a wonderful day!

xx Love & Aloha

Oh my goodness! I read the book that inspired Sandy's project when I was in grade school. It was actually one of the first books that I cried reading! This is such a great project idea! I hope her swans find themselves in the hands of people who need it most! :]

If I could choose a word, I would choose "hope"

This is the coolest project, I agree! She is so clever! Hmmm, one word. Tolerance, I think, the world could use more of that!

That's interesting.

I think I had an origami book when I was like seven, and I wanted so bad to be good at folding those paper cranes.
And I wasn't.

But I'm glad this girl is!
And she's making a cool life-goal out of her talent.
You rock, paper-folder!

I'm SO glad you've shared this, how amazing. I'd write 'BE' as in just be...it's kinda my motto. My bff has taught that it is so important to just stop and be and enjoy life in the moment.

I have seen her site before, I think it's really cool... but I also can't help but think of all the wasted paper. LOL! I try to be as paperless as possible, but I do like what she is doing... a lot!

I am having an interactive "Style Me Pretty" blog giveaway... I would love it if you joined!
