Here's a flower, yet unplucked, freshly for you.

Funny aside about our fresh cut flower situation: They're difficult to find here. Our local market has a little section for flowers in long slender buckets. And they fill them with crispy, fake flowers--the color of urine in various stages of dehydration. Sorry, that may be too much information. They are in the fresh fruit + veg section, right next to the stoney tomatoes, and they always make me laugh or at least crack a smile or let out a little groan.
What do you think about (fake) flowers?

thanks for the flower! ;)
there are some really awesome fake flowers... depends on how they are used.. i have no problem with them. :)
p.s. don't forget to enter my applechampagne jewelry giveaway!
Fake flowers are dust collectors!
beautiful flower and photograph! I particularly love the light spots in the background and how it makes the flower so much more magical! :]
I can go both ways with fake flowers. I hate the ones that are unnatural colors (like painted blue, or neon green).
While there are some pretty fake flowers I prefer the real thing any day!
A good flower does make the day a tad bit better...sigh! Lovely!
I can't do fake anything. I don't like things that pretend to be something they're not. :] and they collect a lot of dust.
:) I struggle with fake flowers. I worked at a craft store and used the often but I also find them tacky...guess it depends on the use of them.
Lovely Blog!
I mentioned my hatred for those suckers aka fake flowers on my blog some weeks ago! Plus, they do collect so much dust-Ugh! xx
I do love flowers and I would like to get them more often. Or better yet grow my own so I can cut them and arrange my own little flower bouquet.
Fake flowers...it kind of depends on what they look like and how they feel. I've seen some great ones but more often they aren't that good.
Thank you soo much for your really wonderful comment and words of encouragement. They truly made me feel better!! Thanks for being amazing! *hugs*
Haha, I gotta admit there are a few nice fake flowers. I used fake dahlias for my bridesmaid bouquets and they photographed really well!
I agree with Ren - they're just dust collectors!
Although I've seen some gorgeous silk flowers before.... even still, there's no replacing the real thing!
I love the flower!
I am sorry about your crispy fake flowers!
P.S. I hate fake flowers. my grandmother has them EVERYWHERE and they're just collecting dust and look old and are blech!
I only like fake flowers for a cute hairdo. Other than that, why not get FRESH beautiful flowers? They make me so happy!
It depend on the fake flower! Bloom uk does amazing expensive arrangements with fake flowers and as long as they're dusted they can look good!

Not really into fake flowers, but some of them can look nice enough I guess!
Yet another thing I love about Holland, they have so many fresh flowers markets and they are really cheap so people keep the most amazing bouquets around all the time. Just amazing :)
they creep me out :) i don't like going to those big craft stores because they are full of them!
so beautiful!!!
great blog!
kisses :D
Thanks, I love flowers :)
Eh, I prefer real flowers!
I just love fresh flowers! Fake ones? Blah!
oooh, those sounds....less than lovely? :P
i'm not a huge fan of fake flowers, but i don't keep fresh cut ones in the house anymore either. the kittens eat/barf up/repeat enough other things that i don't need to add a new intriguing thing for them to go after. ;)
I am the fifth generation of a greenhouse business.. so there are no fake flowers here lol... but I agree that they do make so pretty awesome ones! Just found your blog.. am now following, check out mine if you get a chance!
xx
