tire chairs.

It seems that I like everything that has to do with sitting on tires. Millegomme upcycles spent tires by creating art installations. And they are huge: They describe themselves as "an international collective of tire crafters. [They] have our network in several countries. [They] love to solve local problems by using car tires." And I love them.

Unused public spaces turn them into fun meeting places for children and adults.

Or local waste materials become moving curtains with night illumination,

What would you do with your tired tires?

Fun fun, I remember all the playgrounds where I grew up in the old days had the tire swings. Made me miss them for my boys...

It is hard to move, I had a few months here in London where I felt really miserable about the stress and the changes from New York. But now I am finding every day is a bit easier and I am falling in love with this city!!

Have a wonderful day!

I really like these ideas. It would be cool to use an old tire for seating in a home. It would have to be cleaned, repainted and stuffed.

I'm having a giveaway sweetie!

Ha -- fun! My grandparents had a ranch while I was growing up and always have tire swings. I loved them as a child and the carefree feeling of swinging in the Summer air. You bring back such great memories with this post -- thank you :)

Hope you are having a lovely day so far. Thank you so much for the kind comments that you leave on my blog. I really appreciate it.

Those tire swings are awesome! I love the one in the top right - I would like to have it in my living room, even if I'd just bump into walls. :)

Wow, amazing all the things you could do with them. Though I still just like the idea of swinging on them:)

Tires are not for me and not welcome anywhere near my home! haha

Tires for our car are OK, but that's where my love for tires ends.

something about this rubs me the wrong way. lol.. maybe its because I fear it would leave a giant black mark on my bottom?

ps. I love your new header!

Wow, this is really cool!
We used to have a tire swing outside our house growing up, and we all loved it.... except after it rained and it would always fill up with water!

That is pretty fantastic. In my parents backyard they have a tire tied to a tree that we used as a swing. I loved it when I was younger and would sit there, to swing and think.
