life, seriously.

It's really not that serious. It's just life.
So don't take yourself too seriously.

I thought this was good advice for me, since I feel ___i don't know how to fill in this blank___ about leaving R today to start my job--even though he'll be with his dad and I should be working from home after today.

What advice would you like to give yourself (or me) today?

I know how rough that first day is. let's just say I cried. a lot. Good luck, sweetie :) You can do it.
Be thankful that Rowan's with his Daddy and not with a strange caregiver. This is good Daddy/Son bonding time for them. And you will be elated to be home with them again tonight. Thinking of you today.

Enjoy yourself and have some fun, the minutes will fly by that way. Remember you are brilliant and have lots of friends out there cheering you on, today and everyday! xxx

I'm wishing you the best of luck in getting through today! I know it'll be hard, but I'm so glad for you that he's home with his dad!

ooh...tiny foot!

how nice that you'll be able to work from home.

advice for myself today would be: it's time to get back on track. no more laziness, no more slackitude, no more whining!

:)

Aww, thinking of you today. I know it'll be tough, but try to keep in mind why you're going to work. :)

Oh my, so early. I'm of no help here; I was able to stay home with mine. You'll get through it, I'm sure of it.

just breathe. he's at home with s and everything will be just fine. you'll be back before you know it.

you know what's interesting: is from the time a child is born a parent practices the art of letting them go. i know you can do it.

I think that is some good advice - we spend a lot of time worrying and obsessing over things that turn out to not be worth it.

You will be home in a few hours, good luck at your new job!

you are SO lucky you get to leave R with his dad! I mean there are so many mom's that have to leave their kids with people who will not love them nearly as much.
Best of luck!

Oh, hon. The first day is always hard. How did it go?

First days are full of uncertainty, hate them.

You'll be wonderful and because you had a bit of time away you'll appreciate what you have at home so much more. (yes even after just a few hours)

Today for me.......try not to get blown away.....so perhaps I should wear my lead boots before I go out!

For you.....I hope that the first day is ok....and that home beckons after this...... our colleague Sam came back to work today after his 2 weeks of paternity leave and he survived!! We did see lots of photos of cute little Maisie though!
